Can definitive chemoradiation offer a cure along with cosmesis in locally advanced IVA carcinoma buccal mucosa? a case report

Surgery is the mainstay of treatment in ca buccal mucosa. It extensive nature and may require efficient reconstruction for good cosmetic outcome. Adjuvant radiation or chemo-radiation be needed advanced cancers. Definitive chemoradiation palliative are reserved inoperable patients. We present a case report carcinoma oral cavity left mucosa along with involvement retromolar trigone bone sided mandible who opted out undergoing definitive surgery. She was treated 2.4 Gy per day /0.4 morning, 2 evening five days week paclitaxel on Sunday. Patient reported after seven years disease free excellent surgery adjuvant standard care cancers However, patients refusing altered fractionation schedules still offer chance cure cosmesis.
